Lord, resurrect my faith. I have been so dry for so long. I have avoided You, denied You, and run away. I am not worthy of Your perfect love, yet You give it anyway. What a wonder You are! Forgive my wayward heart, Lord Jesus. You know it belongs to You. I ask You to come and breathe upon my heart. The wind of Your Spirit will surely bring my faith back to life! Fill me with the fiery faith of the disciples when they raced to the empty tomb that first Easter morning. Oh, Lord, let my faith, my heart, my life sing Your praises once again!
There is nothing more beautiful than the prayer of faith. How much more the prayer to stoke the fire of faith? This prayer echoes the words of the desperate father of Mark 9:24: “Lord, I believe. Please help my unbelief!”
Our Lord Jesus is so gracious, He turns no one away who comes to Him in truth. Return to your first love and ask Him to reignite your apathetic faith.
