Have you ever thought about how much we depend on our connections to other people? Many of us have experienced connections that have led to employment, education, or even meeting a future spouse. Without our connections, we’d be limited in what we can do and how far we can reach.
Even Paul recognized the importance of making connections. After his supernatural encounter with Jesus, Paul tried to join the disciples, but they were afraid of him. So Barnabas, a friend of Paul and a cousin of John Mark, stepped in to establish the connection that opened the door to Paul’s missionary work.
So as we consider our accomplishments, our successes, and the new opportunities still ahead of us, let’s give thanks to God for the people that He has placed in our midst. And let us live out our gratitude by using our connections to open doors and create opportunities for others.
