"For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city."
These words were spoken by God to the Apostle Paul while he slept in the city of Corinth. God came to him in a dream and told him nothing would thwart the Kingdom of God coming to these people. Perhaps God said this to soothe the heart of Paul, who came first to the Jews but after being rejected, went out among the Gentiles. Yes, even among the Gentiles God has a people, and His purpose will not be overcome.
God protects those who go forth to proclaim His Word to the ends of the earth. Sometimes preaching comes with persecution, but if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) Therefore what the enemy means for evil, God works for good (Genesis 50:20). Take heart, child of God, He has a people, and no one can snatch them out of His hand (John 10:28-29).
