Ephesians 2:10 says that we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which He prepared in advance for us to do. When God saved us, He didn’t just hand us a free trip to heaven and leave us to find our own way in life. Instead, He made us agents of His continuing good work in this world. Let’s give thanks to God for the purpose that He brings to our life.
Gracious Father, we thank you for your saving grace, and for calling us not only to your presence but to your work. Thank you for the purpose and direction that we find in you. As we walk with you, Lord, we ask that you would fill us with your Spirit so that we may be prepared to live out our purpose as we share your love and your goodness wherever you lead us. In Jesus’s name, amen.
