As Christians, we must nurture a grateful heart for God’s provision in our lives. James 1:17 reads, “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” This means the roof over our heads, the food on our tables, the money in our accounts, the family we have been given. All of these are handed down by God through His loving provision and tender care. We must learn to see His provision in all things, not in luck, chance, or our good fortune. God alone is the Provider of all our needs.
Even Christ taught in Luke 12:6 that five sparrows are sold for two pennies, yet not one of them is forgotten by God. How much more, then, are we worth who are made in God’s image?
Lord Jesus, fill all of Your children with gratitude for Your merciful provision, and teach us to see Your hand in all things. Amen.
